A leading independent drama producer — behind some of the UK’s most acclaimed and globally successful scripted series — is seeking a Senior Legal & Business Affairs Manager to cover maternity leave from January 2026.
Working closely with senior management and production teams, you’ll play a central role in structuring, negotiating, and drafting key talent and production agreements across multiple premium drama projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft high-value contracts for on- and off-screen talent (actors, directors, executive producers) for both UK and global productions.
- Support production teams from development through delivery — attending kick-off meetings, setting up contract workflows, and ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
- Draft development agreements with commissioners and oversee production-related legal matters throughout the life cycle of a show.
- Collaborate with business, legal, and finance teams to manage clearances, third-party agreements, and compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry terms, templates, and policies.
About You
- Qualified lawyer with significant legal and business affairs experience in TV production — ideally across both independent and studio-backed environments.

- Commercially astute, collaborative, and able to juggle multiple high-end scripted productions.
- Strong grasp of rights, clearances, and music licensing.
- Comfortable working at pace and autonomously within a busy creative business.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious, creatively driven production company at the heart of the UK’s high-end drama scene.
