ASSISTANT GC, CORPORATE
1 YEAR FTC, MAY/JUNE START
5 YEARS' PQE+ 
LONDON DOCKLANDS HYBRID

We are looking for a talented and experienced corporate & private M&A lawyer to join the legal team of a high profile, PE backed, international  communications group in a maternity cover role for 1 year. 

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this role will support the Board, working closely with the ExCo at HQ, running projects and assisting operations across the group. You will manage significant projects and advise/deliver on multi-jurisdictional corporate and group wide strategic projects as well as have input on commercial, contractual, compliance & regulatory matters across the Group.
 
This job needs a great lawyer with a corporate background who wants to develop a broad range of in-house skills alongside their existing corporate specialism. Your main focus will be on all areas of the company’s corporate workstreams with a clear understanding of internal corporate reorganisations, due diligence, private M&A, disposals, JVs, exits and shareholder agreements. As required, you will also manage multi-jurisdictional commercial projects eg: ensure all best in class contract and agreement templates and procedures are in place across the group, train and upskill stakeholders, provide advice on commercial matters, legal obligations/liability and risk management etc.

We are looking for a lawyer with c. 5 years' PQE or above with a practical approach, good commercial judgement and a sound core corporate capability. Experience of·private M&A, PE transactions, corporate reorganisations, strategic JVs, exits and disposals and intra-group agreements will be key. Cross-border experience across a variety of sectors (ideally including digital and tech) on all aspects on investments will be valuable and experience of managing projects fairly automously is critical.
