RETAIL & FASHION LAWYER, c. 8 PQE+
1 YEAR FTC, START AUGUST
4 OR 5 DAY WEEK, HYBRID

We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join our clients’ team in a maternity cover role starting in August. 

We are looking for consumer-facing branded goods (ideally but necessarily fashion) experience. This is a senior, self-sufficient position covering the spread of issues a Head of Legal would cover, regularly reporting to the C-Suite but liaising with stakeholders at all levels. You will instruct and manage external counsel as required and oversee & mentor more junior members of the team.

This is a 4/5 days per week role with 2 days WFH, 2 days in the Central London office.

The spread of work is likely to include:

  • service-provider agreements (across IT/ecomms/SaaS support, web, influencers, marketing, logistics etc);
  • trademarks, copyright, design rights and related IP agreements;
  • collaboration agreements, image licensing etc.;
  • competition law issues, eg. regarding pricing and familiarity with the new EU VABR and UK VABEO;
  • data matters such as GDPR implementation and practical impacts;
  • consumer law: Consumer Rights Act and implications for brand/customer communications;
