Looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity as a Senior Commercial Property lawyer?
DIRECTOR OF LEGAL PROPERTY SERVICES
CONSTRUCTION & MATERIALS INDUSTRY
c. 8 YEARS’ PQE+
KENT
PART-TIME OR FULL TIME
Our client is one of the largest independent construction & materials groups in the UK. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property lawyer to join the team.
In terms of technical skills, we are looking for varied, broad expertise across property acquisitions, planning applications & development as well as options, leases, promotion agreements, tenders, debt security matters etc. The ideal candidate will have sufficient seniority to operate autonomously in this stand-alone and self-resourced position and the commercial nous to grasp the main value drivers and help to facilitate business, while being engaged and pro-active. This is a broad and varied role, not focused predominantly on major transactions, so the appetite to run all day-to-day property related matters effectively and successfully is a must!
The role will be based in the group head office in Kent for most of the time. There will be plenty of flexibility, but accessibility to the office, availability, and the ability to forge strong and effective relationships will be important for success in this office-first role.
You will play a key role in supporting the group's ambitious growth plans, ensuring that all property related work is executed smoothly and efficiently, with access to external lawyers as required. Your main stakeholders will be the group’s Planning & Development and Estates & Property teams.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record and a deep understanding of commercial property law, including acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant matters as well as some development matters. You will be a confident communicator, able to build strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders alike, and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
In return, the role offers a competitive salary & benefits package and good work/life balance. We are open to candidates looking to work part-time (minimum 3 days/week) or full time. If you are passionate about commercial property and eager to work on a varied remit as part of a great team, we want to hear from you.
To apply, please send your CV, notice and salary parameters and a few points outlining your experience and suitability for the role. We look forward to hearing from you!
