We have two great opportunities for US qualified lawyers (New York ideally) to work with a world respected media brand in London. You will be part of a team of talented professionals in a challenging, fun and ever changing media environment.

DIRECTOR, LEGAL BUSINESS AFFAIRS

You will:

*Provide support to the General Counsel and provide business affairs and legal counsel to all business units in the Americas

*Lead business and legal affairs support for standard agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, insurance matters, agreements with independent contractors, consultant, vendors, voiceover artists, research panels, promotional festivals or screenings, and similar agreements

*Support the General Counsel on matters relating to corporate housekeeping and governance

*Support other members of the BLA team in providing business and legal affairs services to the distribution business in the Americas

*Counsel the client groups on a wide variety of other legal matters, including intellectual property rights, fair use analysis, corporate governance, insurance, online and music issues, and performing other day-to-day business and legal affairs related tasks as needed

Main Responsibilities

*Review, negotiation and signoff on relevant contracts (both revenue generating and expenditures) with emphasis on timeliness, compliance and consistency with corporate policies, procedures, guidelines and risk management

*Support all business and legal affairs aspects of the distribution business in the Americas

*Maintain and develop template forms and implement policy

MANAGER, LEGAL BUSINESS AFFAIRS

You will:

*Provide support to the General Counsel and provide business affairs and legal counsel to all business units in the Americas

Main Responsibilities

Candidate Profile for both roles

*JD degree and member of NY bar

*Ideally knowledge of entertainment industry and entertainment transactions but this is not a prerequisite

*Ideally business or legal affairs transactional experience, gained at a television or multimedia distribution company, network, and or entertainment law firm. We are however open to hearing from a range of candidates.
