Our client operates in the music sector and they have offices internationally.

This role sits in the team which looks to identify, investigate and disrupt infringing services – such as domains and apps. They investigate breaches and theft of content from storage platforms, or leaks of unreleased content by other means. This may entail covert engagement, test purchases and – a lot of – open-source intelligence investigation.

They’re looking for someone with some investigative experience (ideally in the anti-piracy field) but with genuine technical expertise, in terms of understanding how domains /apps function; and emerging trends in the online world. For example, NFT’s and the metaverse are very much on their radar in terms of how these platforms can be used – legitimately and otherwise. Any knowledge of cryptocurrency would also be a massive bonus.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a computing discipline and a proficient knowledge of:
* Internet-based protocols such as HTTP, FTP, P2P and TCP/IP.
* Internet-based programming languages such as HTML / JavaScript / PHP / JSON.
* Mobile application structure and investigation.
* Network infrastructure & communication.
* Common Programming language(s) (e.g., Python, SQL).
* Blockchain technologies.

As part of Kinsella Legal’s candidate registration and care process, all successful applications are responded to within 14 working days. If you have not been contacted within this timescale this means your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
