We have a new requirement for an experienced commercial media lawyer to join this highly accomplished Legal & Business Affairs team.

The primary focus of your role will be to lead on:

  • Legal and business affairs negotiations on licensing deals for television, channels and channel carriage agreements
  • Legal and business affairs advise relating to commercial/legal/regulatory issues arising from licensing deals
  • Legal and business affairs advise in respect of commercial aspects of our clients DTC (direct-to-consumer) products including partnership arrangements with third party platform partners.

The role is primarily transactional and involves advising on the structuring, drafting and negotiation of distribution deals for films, TV shows and both long & short form digital content.

The deals range from major output or carriage deals with traditional Pay TV platforms to innovative new media deals with Internet, connected television and mobile service providers. This team handles the B2B distribution of all its own generated content.

In addition, there is general advisory work on regulatory, intellectual property, anti-piracy and competition issues, together with day-to-day strategic and commercial advice to the business. The role also involves some management responsibility for colleagues.

You will be an experienced lawyer who is confident in running big ticket TV programming and channel distribution deals for a major brand. This opportunity will guarantee you exposure to high profile projects, as well as complex and interesting work alongside a great team of people.
