Our client is a well known global PLC in the manufacturing sector with its headquarters based in Westminster, London. At the forefront of trade matters and policy, they wish to hire an additional lawyer (or potentially a non-qualified international trade professional) with at least 3 years experience and upwards in anti-dumping matters to join the Legal & Compliance team. With lawyers and compliance experts spread between London, Brussels and the Netherlands, this is a very stable, collegiate and friendly team.
You might currently be working in private practice and looking for a broader role inhouse, or you may be a trade lawyer who has moved on from private practice, perhaps into a government body (eg trade remedies bodies) and wants better career development opportunities in global industry. In each case, you must have some specific experience of anti-dumping matters (and not just general trade disputes). You will work with trade bodies, UK and other governments, industry associations and other international bodies, to ensure strategic trade objectives are met. You will work with internal stakeholders across various teams to provide external representation and help shape anti-dumping cases going forward, as well as policy on trade matters (potentially trade defence, export controls and sanctions).
This role will suit a team player who is comfortable with large volumes of data and has good analytical capabilities. A cooperative attitude and good interpersonal skills are a must.
