FILM/TV/THEATRE LAWYER
ICONIC BOOK PUBLISHER
LONDON, WFH
We have an exciting role for a media lawyer with experience in film, TV and/or theatre to join this iconic publisher.
Reporting to the Deputy Group Legal Director, you will be responsible for the film, television and stage legal work for our client’s children’s and adult publishing divisions. You will work directly with the Rights team and publishing divisions supporting them on all legal matters to create a world “beyond the book” and on to the screen (big and small), stage, and home. You will also have the opportunity to support the legal team’s more general commercial work for the business.
You will have a strong background in commercial IP and media entertainment law, with a particular specialism in film, television and stage work and demonstrable prior experience in advising, drafting and negotiating development, production, distribution and option agreements. You’ll be able to handle a varied and high volume workload in a dynamic fast-paced environment with direct and regular access to the business.
In terms of your approach, you’ll be a clear communicator with the ability to make pragmatic decisions, and will bring good humour, professionalism, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to all that you do. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously as well as being a good team player as part of our client’s legal team based in London.
